Research

Research interests

My research area is the domain of software engineering. My primary interests are model transformation, software development and generation techniques. I am also interested in user interface design, web solutions and refactoring. I rely on a broad spectrum of languages and techniques I have acquired since 1994 and deepened during my studies of computer science since 1998. My vision is to simplify parts of software development processes.

Projects

Currently I am involved in the following projects:

Fujaba

Fujaba is an open source UML CASE tool. As its functionality can be extended by plugins and because it is published under the LGPL it is the CASE tool of my choice for doing research and development. To contribute to the Fujaba community, I am an active developer of the Fujaba core system since late 2004.

SPin

SPin is a tool that realizes architecture stratification. I started developing this tool during my diploma thesis in late 2004 in conjunction with the department of metamodeling and its applications. Further development of this tool is one of the main targets of my PhD research.

MOFLON / Editor

The MOFLON / Editor is the frontend of MOFLON. It is built on top of Fujaba and provides the possibility to edit diagrams that are conform to MOF2.0.

MOFLON / TGG Editor

The MOFLON / TGG Editor is a tool that implements Triple Graph Grammars. TGGs can be used for tool integration and consistency management of graph-like data structures [1].
