Automobile manufactures are developing brand specific software functions. Some of these functions are safety relevant and are integrated into ECUs from different Tier 1 suppliers. This presentation covers safety aspects to be considered during the integration process. In addition, the advantages and process steps involved by using a model based approach are given.
