MAJA - MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow Java Adapter

The MAJA project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). This project is the successor of the MATE project.

MAJA focuses on the development of the online adapter. It aims especially at the enhancement of the semi-automated adapter generation.

Concept of the Adapter Generation

General purpose of the MAJA project is the development of the concept and technology of such online adapters for any "Commercial-on-the-Shelf"-Tools (COTS-Tools), e.g. the engineering requirement tool DOORS or the UML modeling tool Enterprise Architect.

Central points of the project are:

  • systematic process for reverse-engineering of metamodels.
  • systematic process for the specification of dependencies between metamodel elements (because of their independent handling, e.g. create, delete, by a JMI-API)
  • development of an approach for the generation of the JMI-adapter-skeleton.
  • systematic approach to adapt our generator to a given type of COTS-Tools or a given framework in order to reduce the implementation costs.
