Research Area

My field of research builds around the application of graph transformations for improving the service quality of mobile networks in the CRC 1053 (MAKI). Due to the continuously evolving structure of mobile networks, incremental pattern matching techniques are a promising approach. Furthermore, in contrast to traditional pattern matching algorithms that take knowledge of the whole graph for granted, mobile networks consist of distributed participants, most often without a centralized controlling instance. Therefore, a second challenge is to localize the pattern matching process, yielding distributed pattern matching algorithms.
